Today I did something stupid. It wasn't humiliating, humiliation is when you become embarrassed because someone else did something wrong to you. I feel like people are laughing at me because I thought of something unrealistic and far-fetched on my part (personal and unrelated to work). I need adjustment checks on reality. Maybe I've come to a point where I'm asking too much from myself?

When I was walking home, I remembered the three words I hear after reading a dramatic retelling when someone shares something online.

Cool story, bro.

Got lost for hours? Cool story, bro. Mistakened for being a pedophile? Cool story, bro. Failed your exams? Cool story, bro. Girlfriend cheated on you? Cool story, bro. Your PC broke? Cool story, bro.

Its meant as a sarcastic remark, when something so deep, dramatic, and serious gets written off as a "cool story". And yet, those words turn into a mantra for encouragement, an advice to move on, and a joke to keep yourself happy all rolled into three words when I hear it.
